Online Store: The Atrium

You may or may not know, but I am a proud plant mom. I’m not into outdoor gardening at all, but I am obsessed with indoor plants and decorating my home with greenery.

The Atrium is my go-to online plant store. They have impeccable customer service, a user-friendly website, great social media presence, and most important – a great variety of healthy, quality houseplants at affordable prices! Personally I find their prices the most affordable compared to other online plant stores.

Book: Scar Tissue

This book will most likely stay in my top 5 best books for the rest of my life. This is the autobiography of Red Hot Chili Peppers vocalist Anthony Kiedis. Prepare yourself for an emotional roller-coaster ride before you get stuck into this. It’s rough, but so worth the trip. If it doesn’t grab you from the first page, it’s probably not for you.

Clothing Brand: Cotton On Jeans

Shopping for jeans has been listed as one of the most stressful activities for a human. So, IMO finding a brand of jeans that fit you perfectly should be listed as one of the most satisfying human experiences.

For those of you who don’t know, I’m short. 161cm to be exact. I also have an hourglass figure, so I have wide hips and a small waist. So basically it’s near impossible to find jeans that fit me. At least it was, until Cotton On decided to bless us with ‘cropped’ jeans. These supposedly 3/4 jeans for regular height humans, are perfect ankle-length on me.

Apart from the length, the overall fit is literally perfect. No weird bubble at the back, or ‘too small here, but too big there’ vibes. IYKYK

My favourite style is the Stretch Mom Jean. I currently have them in blue and black, and planning on getting a couple more.

Cotton On have also started incorporating recycled cotton into their denim production, making these more sustainable. Yay!

Have you found your perfect jeans? Share them in the comments, I’d love to know.

Music Video: Jamie xx – Gosh

Jamie xx can probably attribute half of this video’s views to me – I’ve watched it so many times. And every time I do I still get goosebumps. Enjoy.

P.S.
Anyone get major Die Antwoord vibes from this?

Skincare: Vitamin C

Vitamin C is one of my top 5 favourite skincare ingredients. There is endless information about what it is, what it does for your skin, and the different formulations, so I’m not going to go into too much detail here.

In a nutshell I love Vitamin C for it’s antioxidant properties, and how it assists with sun damage/dark spots.

My two favourites are:

  1. Lamelle Vita-C Lipid Serum
I always recommend this to anyone starting out with Vitamin C and actives in general. I have a detailed post about this serum up on my Instagram account.
  2. Obagi Professional-C Serum 15%
After using the Lamelle serum above for almost a year without any skin irritations or side effects I decided to move onto something stronger. This serum contains “L-Ascorbic Acid 15% which is Vitamin C in its purest form.”

I buy majority of my skincare from Dermastore, which I’ll talk about in an upcoming post.

That’s it for today. Please drop me a comment below or DM me on social media if you love any of the things mentioned above. Let’s chat about it.

Kthanksbye x
